Travel
​
Travel to Zambia can be done via various routes and it would be advisable to consult a travel agent for this. Clients travelling to us can fly into either Lusaka or Livingstone International Airports. From here, there is the option of driving into camp with a Tandala representative, with the drive being 7 or 11 hours from Livingstone or Lusaka respectively. Alternatively, there is the option of a charter flight to an airstrip near camp of approximately two hours from both airports. A Tandala Representative will be at the airport regardless, to assist in gun clearance etc.
What to Bring
​
Laundry is done daily in Camp, so clients can pack light. We recommend a warm jacket and longs for the early mornings and late evenings, and a good pair of walking/hiking boots. In terms of fire arms, we recommend clients use a .375 or above for dangerous game (Lion,Leopard, Buffalo) and preferably a .300 or above for plains game. Rifles are available in camp for hire on request. In addition to these essentials clients may like to bring:
- 3 changes of warm clothes
- Several Pairs of Socks
- Tracksuit and comfortable shoes for the evenings
- Good pair of Binoculars
- Flashlight
- Pocket Knife
- Camera
- Insect Repellent
- Sunblock, Sunglasses & Hat
